UK fin min Javid says the UK’s ‘national living wage’ to be increased from April 2020

So reports the UK newspaper’ The Sun’

  • UK finance minister Sajid Javid says the national living wage will jump by 6.2% (to GBP 8.72) from April 2020

I reckon you’ll begin to see more of this sort of moderate policy from BJ’s administration. Now he has a majority BJ’s true colours will begin to come through – which I think are centrist despite his bluff and bravado over Brexit. 

The UK National Living Wage is the minimum wage, its currently 

  • for those 25 & over £8.21 per hour
  • for those 21-24, £7.70
  • ages 18-20, £6.15
