Senate fails to pass extension of emergency jobless benefits at $200

Reduction from $600 

The Senate failed on a vote to fast track an extension of the emergency jobless benefit at $200 (from $600).  

The emergency federal payments expire tomorrow.   

What it will be, will have to wait for a bigger agreement. In the meantime, the payments will cease.
